Merica buntut (Latèn: Piper cubeba) entu atu tumbuan deri genus Piper nyang ditanem orang bakal dipungutin dia punya bua ama minyak intisari. Ni taneman biasanya tumbu di Jawa ama Sumatera. Dia punya bua diomplokin sebelon mateng, terus dikeringin. Merica buntut bakal dagang punya bentukan kaya' bua bèri, rada medu ama roman merica biasa, cuman masing ada tangké nyang kesènggèt; ni bagéan entu nyang digero' "buntut" deri ni "merica buntut". Dia punya bagéan dinding bua abis dikeringin bakal merengket, dengen warna deri kekelabuan ampé cokelat atawa item. Ni taneman punya biji entu warna puti, keras ama minyakan. Merica buntut punya wangi kalo diendus, mah, ènak di idung bakal arum-aruman, sedeng dia punya rasa entu pedes, ngentek, rada paitan ga' ilang-ilang kalo dimakan.
